What is Fast Forward?

Fast Forward is a FREE employment program for young adults looking to find work in public-facing and customer support roles. These includes positions in:
  • Healthcare
  • Customer Service
  • Retail Positions
  • Visitor Centre/Art Galleries
  • Front Desk
  • Hospitality (especially Hosts)
  • Recreation Leader (including Lifeguards, Camp Counsellor, Parks etc.)
  • And more!
This cohort incorporates equine-assisted learning, using horses to develop emotional growth, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Program Details

  • Duration: 6 weeks
  • Location: Blend of in-person programming in Trail, with virtual sessions (please note that participants are expected to attend both in-person and virtual sessions as part of the program).

WHO CAN APPLY?

Candidates must be:

  • Between the ages of 15 and 30 (inclusive) at the time of intake/selection
  • Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident or protected person legally entitled to work in Canada
  • Reside in the West and Central Kootenay region
  • Unemployed or underemployed
